Transparency in Coverage Rules

The federal Transparency in Coverage Rules require certain group health plans to publicly disclose price and cost-sharing information. This information includes in-network provider rates as well as historical out-of-network allowed amounts and billed charges for covered items and services, which is to be shared via two separate machine-readable files (MRFs). The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators and application developers to more easily access and analyze data. The MRFs for Under Armour’s medical plan carrier(s) can be found here: CareFirst.
